20 Must Have Games of 2011

 

This is the list of all my must have games in 2011, i only put the confirmed and most likely to release games of 2011 so don’t get mad if Hitman, Resident Evil, Twisted Metal and etc… .

L.A. Noire

Rockstar won many game of the year awards with Red Dead: Redemption. L.A. Noire looks to impress and not walk in Red Dead’s footsteps but make its own mark. The characters faces in this game are the ones of real life actors, expect lifelike characters and a deep story for this one.

 

 

 

 

 

Skyrim

Oblivion was one of the best open world RPG experiences on still. Skyrim will be running on a new engine and judging from the screenshots and videos on this game it looks amazing. Any RPG fan must have this game in their collection.

Mass effect 3

ME2 left a lasting impression on players with quite the cliffhanger of an ending. ME3 will continue with earth in peril. If you played ME2 you will be especially stoked for this game because what you achieved on ME2 will carry over into ME3 if you still have the save data.

Portal 2

Portal was a great puzzle FPS game and was very original. Adding COOP into the mix is just about all you should need to get this game. If you haven’t played Portal i suggest getting the Orange Box and playing it, or buy it on steam.

Mortal Kombat 9

The Mortal Kombat series lately has disappointed fans with its most recent release MK vs Dc universe. The game just didn’t have that brutal feeling everyone knew the MK series for. MK9 is going back to the brutality that made MK a household name. If your a fighting fan you will want to buy this game, the challenge tower is just another reason to buy this game.

SOCOM 4

Socom:Confrontation left a bitter taste to a lot of fans. Socom 4 is made by its original maker Zipper and so far from my time on the beta it is shaping up to be a very good game. The single player will have a coop mode as well. Old School Socom fans will still complain how it is different from Socom 2 but this is a new era and change is going to happen. The game plays very smooth. If you need a reboot for online shooting fun i highly suggest this game.

L4D2 dlc pack

L4d2 is always fun online and with this free update you might want to repurchase L4D2 if you sold it with 3 campaign from the original L4d campaign will be releasing with the Cold Stream campaign.

Journey

That game company made flower and journey is shaping up to a beautiful artistic game.

Brink

Shooters are a dime a dozen but brink looks to stand out. With a great amount of customization and fast paced parkour gunfighting madness, Brink is going to have a great team based multiplayer experience. You really don’t want to overlook this game.

Infamous 2

infamous was an entertaining game having the player choose to be good or evil. The powers for each changed and gave the game a good replay value the second time through. The sequel is looking to improve from every aspect and become a great free roaming lighting god experince.

Duke Nukem

Its about damn time! If you know anything about duke nukem you will by this game.

Dues Ex

Game is look very promising with a mix of stealth and action packed gameplay. It is entirely up to the player how the game is played. The story and art in this game look top notch as does the gameplay. If your a MGS or a stealth game fan don’t miss this game.

Dead Island

Zombie games are always something to get excited about. Especially when its on a tropical island with the majority of combat melee based. Expect intense in your face zombie action from Dead Island. Did i mention it also has COOP!

Resistance 3

The resistance series has changed a lot over the years. R3 is going to be the best looking of the series running on a new engine. The story is not to be missed in the resistance series. I suggest this game simply for its single-player experience. The struggle against the chimera seems never-ending, will humanity prevail or fall against the chimera?

Rage

If you Didn’t like Borderlands cartoony look and wanted a the apocolyptic world in awesome real life art, then Rage is a must buy for you. Any shooter and action fan will also love this game.

Dark Souls

Demon Souls was what hardcore gamers need and Dark Souls looks to make the play time even longer and more difficult than before. This game will also be multiplatform and not an exclusive on the PS3.

Batman Arkham City

The best batman games ever should not be missed.

Uncharted 3

The sequels in the uncharted series just get better and better each times. U3 will have awesome new environments and possibly a a bigger and better game than U2, like we need better than U2 .

Last Guardian

If ICO taught us anything it is to buy Last guardian.

Battlefield 3

Call of Duty has become very dull. If you want the next best multiplayer experience get BF3

 

2011 is looking to be a stellar gaming year. The only problem is the amount of money all these games are going to cost :/.
