More COOP Please

Tell me a game you didn’t enjoy while playing COOP. No answer right of the top of your head… ? That’s because COOP can make even the worst video games fun.  Hell even HAZE was fun when I was playing with a friend in the singleplayer COOP.

So my question is why do games that have great opportunities with coop yet shoo it away? Just think about Fallout : New Vegas having COOP. Granted there would be a problem when you both want to play the game but just think about both you and your friend deciding to side with the NCR or Legion and shooting/running from deathclaws. Dragon Age: Origins, Mass effect 2, Ratchet and Clank,  Heavy Rain, Red Dead Redemption( in single), or Oblivion are just a few that would be great with COOP,  in my opinion.   Now its most likely these heavy dependant single player games want you to experience the game buy yourself which will add to the immersion of the game, but I think playing with a friend ,working together; making choices and just messing around will add to the game itself.

Games like Borderlands and Left 4 Dead utilize COOP and benefit greatly with it. Yet there are many games that have the potential to be a great COOP game but don’t take the oppurtunity.  I can only hope to see more COOP implemented in games as time goes on.

Make sure you checkout the upcoming games for great COOP gameplay. SOCOM 4, Dark Souls, Playstation’s Move Heroes, and Dead Island(Hell Yes).
